Full Description
The Kennedy-Lugar Youth Exchange and Study (YES) Program offers Moroccan high school students the chance to spend one academic year in the United States. Funded by the U.S. Department of State, the program strengthens cross-cultural understanding. Participants live with host families, attend American high schools, and serve as youth ambassadors of Morocco.

Application Start Date: August 15, 2026
Application Deadline: October 15, 2026
Eligibility
Applicants must:
Be 15–17 years old (born between August 15, 2009, and August 15, 2011).
Be enrolled in secondary school at the time of application.
Enter 10th or 11th grade in Fall 2024.
Have a minimum B average, with no failing grades.
Show English proficiency and adaptability.
Be a Moroccan citizen and resident (not U.S. citizen or permanent resident).
Meet U.S. J-1 visa requirements.
Financial Aid
The YES scholarship is fully funded and covers:
Round-trip airfare from Morocco to the U.S.
Accommodation with a host family (10–11 months).
Modest monthly stipend.
Health insurance.
Pre-departure orientation and enrichment activities.
