ALA’s mission is to transform Africa by developing a network of leaders who will work together to address the continent’s greatest challenges. Each year, exceptional young people from across Africa are selected to join this intensive program.
The two-year curriculum combines:
Rigorous academics (Cambridge A-Levels and ALA’s unique African Studies).
Entrepreneurial Leadership courses with hands-on projects.
Leadership opportunities within ALA’s diverse, pan-African community.
Graduates of ALA gain access to top global universities, mentorship, and lifelong connections through the ALA alumni network.

Application Start Date: September 2025
Application Deadline: January 2026
Eligibility
Applicants must be between 15 and 18 years old.
Must demonstrate strong leadership potential, academic excellence, and a passion for Africa’s development.
Only applicants from the African continent are eligible to apply.
Financial Aid
ALA is committed to ensuring financial need is not a barrier. The academy provides generous scholarships and financial aid, which may cover:
Full or partial tuition
Accommodation and meals
Travel assistance (in some cases)
Additional support based on individual need
Financial aid is awarded based on merit and demonstrated financial circumstances.
